'Moving to London in 2018 to start my career as a paramedic, I had no idea that the friends I would make and the community that I became a part of would keep me from leaving.
2018 also happens to be the last time Dancing with the Stars of 911 was an event. I remember a night of well dressed strangers who I can now proudly call my coworkers and friends. I remember everyone having fun including the dancers, the judges, and all of the guests in attendance. I remember feeling that I wanted to be part of this amazing event that brought so many smiles to so many people.
It's my time to shine.' - Chris

'My name is Julie Colgan & I'm super excited to be a contestant on this year's DWTS! I have zero dancing background or ability (I'm more into board sports such as snowboarding, surfing & standup paddle boarding), but I did not want to say no when Chris asked me; I was so flattered! I live by the rule to never say no to opportunities that land in your lap. I am always up for new challenges & experiences in this crazy thing called life.
I have been a Paramedic with Middlesex-London Paramedics Services for 17 years. I am avidly involved in many different roles such as a member of the service's Bike Unit & Honour Guard. I take great pride in being a member of our Peer Support Team where I can provide emotional & practical support for my colleagues health & wellness & hold special relationships where people share common experiences.
My greatest accomplishment in life has been my volunteer experience with GlobalMedic; a registered Canadian charity that provides disaster releif & life saving humanitarian aid around the world. I have deployed to over 13 countries to such disasters as earthquakes, tsunamis & conflict zones. Nepal, the Philippines, Iraq, Pakistan & most recently Ukraine are just some of the places I have helped. As a result I have received various awards like the Ontario Paramedic Chief's Association Humanitarian Award, the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for over 15yrs of dedication & a civilian award from the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.
I wake up every morning determined to make a difference in this world & have one heck of a good time doing it. I look forward to DWTS & supporting such an important cause. I wish all the other contestants the best of luck & as they say in the buisness, "Break a leg!"'
