'My name is Darcy Campbell and I am a Sergeant with the Woodstock Police Service. I am proud to serve along side so many amazing professionals within our police service and the 911 community in general. I was very flattered when my coworker Abbigail Boss asked me to be her dance partner for the upcoming Dancing with the Stars 911 event. My wife and 2 teenage daughters were literally laughing when I told them of my potential opportunity as they have witnessed my dancing abilities first hand. My dancing experience consists of my 1 and only Tik Tok that our family made during the Covid lockdowns. Abby has assured me that I will do just fine and I am nervously excited to try something new that is completely out of my comfort zone. I am an avid golfer and much more comfortable on a putting green than a dance floor or a stage!
Having been a frontline police officer now for 25 years, I have a true appreciation for the stress and dangers that first responders face on a daily basis while keeping our communities safe. Unfortunately I have attended numerous police funerals during my career including the funeral of Provincial Constable Dave Mounsey in Wingham, Ontario.
Although I never had the honour of knowing Dave Mounsey, I feel absolutely honoured to take part in this event and help raise money towards the Dave Mounsey Memorial Foundation. I look forward to a fun filled night and being with so many amazing people who are all coming together for such an important cause. '
